Where the Idea Started
Born from the jobsite, not a boardroom
The idea for Bildlist came from firsthand experience in construction.
Its founder began his career as a carpenter by trade, eventually becoming a general contractor and homebuilder. Finding the right subtrades was an essential part of every project. At the same time, clients were constantly looking for ideas — examples of homes, finishes, details, and projects that could help them visualize what they wanted to build.
A Simple Question
“What if there were one place where you could discover projects, find the people who built them, and connect directly with the trades behind the work?”
That question became Bildlist.
When the Fence Comes Down
Preserving credit and visibility beyond completion
A construction project is highly visible while it is being built.
There are signs on the fence. Trucks in the driveway. Trades coming and going. People working on the site.
Then the project is finished.
The fence comes down.
The trucks leave. The crews move on.
The building remains — but much of the information about the people who created it can disappear.
Often, there is no easy way to know.
Bildlist is designed to help keep that connection alive.
